2024 Fall Harvest of Hope

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our online auction, a vital part of the Fall Harvest of Hope event, benefiting Port Ministries and our mission to serve the South and West Side communities of Chicago.

Explore a diverse selection of items and experiences donated by generous supporters like you. There’s something for everyone. Bid on your favorite items, and know that every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the life-changing programs we offer.

Port Ministries provides essential services to over 36,000 residents annually, including food distribution, free medical care, youth engagement programs, and safe spaces for those in need. This auction is a crucial part of our fundraising efforts, helping us keep our programs running and expanding our reach to even more individuals and families who rely on us.

Even if you don’t win an item, your participation and bids make a significant difference. We encourage you to bid generously, share the auction with your friends and family, and help us spread the word.

We are incredibly grateful for your participation in this auction and your commitment to our cause. Together, we can continue to provide essential services and bring hope to those who need it most.

Happy bidding, and thank you for being a part of our community of supporters!

About The Port Ministries

Inspired by St. Francis and the Franciscan Charism, the Port Ministries mission is to provide the fundamental needs of the mind, body, and spirit. The organization addresses these needs through a series of programs and services that holistically work together to serve the under-resourced and under-served residents of the local communities (Back of the Yards, Englewood, Gage Park).

No one envisioned the rich network of ministries that would develop when Father Augustin Milon, OFM, founded a one-room soup kitchen in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood on May 26, 1985. In a neighborhood stricken by violence, homelessness, drug abuse, gang activity and abandoned buildings, Port Ministries has listened and responded to the pressing needs of the local community with a Catholic spirit of loving outreach.

Our goal is to put faith-in-action to address the underlining issues that plague and limit the potential of these under-resourced and under-serviced communities and their residents
