2022 Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple Obon

Our 8th Annual Silent Auction is being held in conjunction with our annual Obon Festival, which will occur on July 16-17, 2022. The Obon Festival is an event to honor family and friends who have passed on before us, and is one of our Temple's major fundraising events during the year.

Our silent auction has a feature called Extended Bidding which extends the end time of an item by 3 minutes when it receives a bid during the final 3 minutes. This process repeats until no new bids are received during the final 3 minutes or until 8:30pm, whichever comes first. Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple is a diverse Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Temple that is a member of the Buddhist Churches of America. VHBT also offers a variety of cultural, service, and social organizations and activities, including programs for Youth and Senior Citizens.
