About Our Auction

After hearing that this year’s Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic and Brewfest, Coastal Craft and supporting events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brad from El Brado Fiberglass reached out expressing his desire to continue the Coastal Craft shaping event virtually with an auction. In just a day, we had five shapers and the incredible team at Fiberglass Supply emphatically say, “yes!” Each shaper has decided on a general board type. Auction winners will work with the shaper to fine tune the specs of their board and according to El Brado, “the better the bid, the more detailed the glass job.” All proceeds go directly to the development of the PC Skatepark. We are thankful to each shaper for donating their time and craftsmanship, to Fiberglass Supply for donating the blanks and to Brad from El Brado Fiberglass for donating his time, artistry and stoke. We are also super thankful to Pelican Brewing for their generous donations and keeping the spirit alive for the canceled Brewfest!

About Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic & Coastal Craft

The Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic and Brewfest, a 3 day surfing and beer friendly community event, was started over 20 years ago. It is now the main fundraiser for the Pacific City Skatepark. We’ve raised over $110,000, nearly half of what we’ll need to start construction. The Coastal Craft shaping event, which takes place on the final day of CKLC, was started in 2019 as a way to generate more interest, stoke, and ultimately more funds for the skatepark. The PC Skatepark will be located in the Pacific City Community Park. Nestucca Valley Community Alliance (NVCA), a non profit, all volunteer organization is developing the community park located on the east side of Cape Kiwanda Drive just south of Moment Surf Company. The NVCA recently received a Tillamook Lodging Tax grant to finish the foundational elements of the entire park. The park is currently open for overflow Cape Kiwanda parking (donation suggested) and access to the PC Pathway Trail.
