2019 NALS Silent Auction

Tennessee Justice Center (TJC) is a nonprofit that uses the law, education, and advocacy to help vulnerable families access life’s necessities like health care and food. TJC is a nonpartisan voice working to improve access to affordable health coverage and ensure the strength of the health care system on which we all depend.

TJC provides legal help to around 1,000 Tennesseans across the state each year, helping secure needed (sometimes life-saving) coverage or services from programs like TennCare (Medicaid), Children’s Health Insurance Program, or Affordable Care Act coverage. TJC also uses the courts to improve policies that impact thousands of TennCare enrollees. By ensuring access to care, TJC has secured billions of dollars’ worth of vital health services for Tennesseans, reducing uncompensated care and supporting our health care infrastructure.

Through innovative partnerships, TJC expands its impact even more. TJC shares its legal expertise by training and providing technical assistance to providers and community resources statewide. Last year, TJC trainees enrolled over 46,000 Tennesseans in affordable coverage using TJC’s resources and expertise.
