Warm Winter Wishes Online Fundraiser

Warm Winter Wishes is a student-run, non-profit organization operate by the grade 12 business leadership students. The WWW Class of 2018 is committed to make a valuable and positive contribution to their community and proudly carry on the 16-year, Wellington Heights tradition.

The 2018 Warm Winter Wishes overall fundraising goal is set at $40,000. This online auction is a new venture and just one of the many events that will be run over a 5-week period, within the school and community. Over the past 16 years of operation, the Warm Winter Wishes organization has raised over $335,000 which has been invested back into our community.

The project brings together students, staff, parents, local businesses and community members to achieve truly amazing results!

Warm Winter Wishes is a non-profit organization that is operated annually by the grade 12 Business Leadership students at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest.

It is a unique project the provides students with real-life business experience. They practice their skills and share their talents as they control all aspects of the business. They plan and implement fund-raising events and connect with corporate donors with the ultimate goal of giving back to the community.

Profits are used to purchase clothing and gifts for children, as well as grocery and pharmacy cards for families in need of financial support. The charity supports children from 8 local schools in Wellington-North and the surrounding area.

The schools' administrators and youth workers identify the families, contact the parents and take orders for their personalized needs. Families and children are coded to protect their privacy. WWW shoppers search for the perfect gifts to fulfill each order which get bagged and delivered to the schools where they are picked up by the parents in time for Christmas.
