Global Harmony/Local Friendship Charity Auction
The Global Harmony/Local Friendship Charity Auction represents a fun collaboration between former Commissioner of the NWT George Tuccaro and the Yellowknife Association for Community Living.
The auction features items given to George during his six-year tenure as the territory's ambassador by dignitaries from around the country and throughout the world.
Donations were also made by our friends at the Union of Northern Workers and the Yellowknife Quilters Guild.
The collection offers a variety of one-of-a-kind gifts for all ages for the upcoming holiday season!
All funds raised by the Global Harmony/Local Friendship Charity Auction will support YKACL programming, which includes respite care for families and assisted living, job coaching and employment opportunities for clients based in Ndilo, Dettah and Yellowknife.
YKACL clients and staff represent backgrounds spanning 32 countries, including all regions of the Canadian North, and speak dozens of languages. We are proud of our diversity and cherish our circumpolar and international friendships.
