About Turnip Green Creative Reuse

Turnip Green Creative Reuse's mission is fostering creativity and sustainability through reuse. They provide a welcoming, inclusive space to divert materials from the landfill and connect them with people who need them such as teachers, students, artists, and more! There are three branches to our organization's mission—education, the Green Gallery and Marketplace, and our beloved Creative Reuse Center.

Our Creative Reuse Center is the heart of our organization. This retail space is built on a pay-what-you-can approach and features a wide array of materials for artists and collectors, crafters, educators, gift givers, hobbyists, junkers, sustainable living enthusiasts, and more! All items received have been diverted from the landfill and are organized and easy to find, thanks to our dedicated staff and devoted volunteer base.

The Green Gallery and Marketplace, housed inside our Creative Reuse Center and in select satellite locations, features monthly exhibitions with local and regional artists. All participating artists have a sustainable approach to their art-making practice. Monthly exhibitions are part of the WeHo art crawl, with opening receptions on the first Saturday of every month.

Our robust educational program is focused on art making and environmentalism, with community outreach, events, programs, and workshops for kids of all ages, all with a shared goal of fostering a more sustainable and intentional creative community.
