The Georgian Bay Folk Society has been working hard over the past 40 years to bring high calibre music, art and entertainment to the area and the community. We strive to promote, present and provide all folk artists of every genre, music , art and dance, with the opportunity to be seen and heard by an international audience.
The Folk Society is proud to bring new discoveries to the annual Summerfolk Music & Crafts Festival every year ... performers young and old; folk, blues, traditional and world music; exotic and local cuisine; one of a kind artwork and performance workshops/collaborations that will only happen once for your pleasure and amazement.
Year round community workshops and events are presented by the GBFS to maintain the unique connection we have with our community. Youth Discoveries, Tribute Night, the Summerfolk TuneUp and are just a few of the other programs and more keep us in touch with the vibrant, and ever evolving folk art community. Come join us!

DECEMBER 13, 2014 @ 6pm at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound:
WINTERSONG , a GBFS fall fundraiser. The event will include performances from Coco Love Alcorn and James Keelaghan, Carol Warren, RPR, David Sereda, Sons of Perry and more. This licensed event will be a great evening of music and entertainment. Doors will open at 6pm
The added excitement of a LIVE AUCTION for Tom's Tarp will start at 8:45PM SHARP and close at 9:00PM
The auction will start online November 1st,2014 Arrangements will be made to accept phone bids during the event.
All the money raised at this event will go to supporting the 40th year Summerfolk Anniversary Celebration.
