Partners in Tourism Auction

The Tourism Industry Partners (TIP) Invitational Golf Tournament was created in 2005 by a small group of hospitality professionals who identified the need to encourage and support up-and-coming future generations to embark on careers in the field of tourism.

With assistance from tourism industry friends and partners, it was determined funds could be raised to support students and educational institutions through sponsorships. In turn, the golfers are guaranteed a great day on the course followed by a wonderful evening of dining with live and silent auctions, old friends and new acquaintances.

From the beginning, TIP has been loyally supported by friends and sponsors alike and to date, has provided financial assistance to students at various post-secondary institutions within British Columbia in excess of $700,000!

TIP also supports education through the funding of special projects including the purchase of culinary equipment for Selkirk College as well as professional development of Les Clefs d’Or (International Association of Hotel Concierges).

Our concierge professionals volunteer en masse every year to ensure participants are well looked after and not distracted by the wildlife that is frequently seen on the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course!

Partners in Tourism – TIP Society was established in 2006 with the goal of fostering future generations of tourism professionals. Never has that been more important.

Since its inception, Partners in Tourism – TIP has provided funding in excess of $700,000 to support training, the purchase of equipment and financial assistance to hospitality students. The need has never been greater.

The mission is to foster future generations of tourism and hospitality industry professionals.
