A Message from Suzanne M. Newman, President

Welcome to The Country Friends’ very first online auction. 
We gather together in support of our community in a time of urgent need. Thank you for joining us and for your generosity as we work to raise the remaining funds needed to meet our 2020 commitment of $185,000 to San Diego County non-profit organizations.

Understanding that the world has changed, we have been in touch with our chosen charities for 2020 to determine how they are managing and if their current needs are different than what was originally submitted. Since our grant process requires specific information as to how the funds will be used, we want to be flexible and make sure that they can be used where they will make the most impact. Their overwhelming reply was that the funding is still needed and now even more so.

The Country Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded in 1954 that donates its proceeds directly to San Diego-based human care agencies. Our goal is to support those agencies providing services to women, children, the elderly, the military and persons with disabilities in San Diego County.
