About Our Auction

10 ARTWORKS INCLUDING: PAINTING, GRAPHIC NOVEL, SCULPTURE, PHOTOGRAPHY, JEWELLERY
In lieu of album notes and lyrics in our album cover, we have commissioned 10 artists from Australia and the Philippines to create artwork inspired by music from Share House. Each artist was given a track from the album to prompt the creation of a piece of art in their medium of choice. The result: 10 magnificent original works ready to find their forever homes.

100% PROCEEDS TO REBUILD HOUSES
Buy an art piece and donate to a worthy cause! These artworks just keep giving. A silent auction will be held with 100% of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity, Philippines to rebuild homes that were devastated in the recent Typhoon Haiyan calamity.

About Topology

Topology, Australia’s most surprising music organisation, creates original work across many genre boundaries. Artist-in-Residence at Brisbane Powerhouse, their full-bodied energy brings out the full potential of five musicians, comprising saxophone, strings and piano.

Since 1997, Topology has created many evening-length works, 10 album releases and an award-winning concert series. Topology is famous for the breadth and depth of its collaborations. Undaunted by stylistic barriers, the Company has created stunning new work with partners in theatre (Geoffrey Rush, Neil Armfield), classical music (the Brodsky Quartet, the Southern Cross Soloists), contemporary art music (Terry Riley, Speak Percussion), ballet (the Queensland Ballet), contemporary jazz (Trichotomy, Loops), popular songwriting (Kate Miller-Heidke, Katie Noonan), comedy (the Kransky Sisters, Gerry Connolly), Asian music (Dheeraj Shrestha, Tony Prabowo, Ubiet) and indigenous Australian music (William Barton).

Topology has an energetic education program, working closely with schools since 1998 to perform student compositions, guide individual and collaborative student compositions and performances, develop concerts and perform with students. Schools it has worked most closely with include Brisbane Grammar School, Kenmore High School, Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Stuartholme and Somerville House.

Topology works with many leading international composers, including those from Canada (Tim Brady), the UK (Andrew Poppy, Michael Nyman, Jeremy Peyton Jones), the US (Steve Reich, Terry Riley, John Zorn, William Duckworth, Carl Stone, Paul Dresher) and with many Australian composers (though their focus is original music).
