Broad Street Market Plein Air painting auction

Artists will commence painting AT the Broad St Market on Friday, July 21 during 3rd in the Burg (5 - 7:30 pm). Visitors may watch the artists and observe their progress during that time period. Artists will have until August 4 to complete their paintings in their studios and turn them over to Susquehanna Art Museum so that the works may be photographed and placed for bid on this auction site. High bidders will be awarded with the painting/s on which they have placed the high bid after that date (August 4).

Susquehanna Art Museum at The Marty and Tom Philips Family Art Center (SAM at The Marty) is a nonprofit non-collecting entity exhibiting world-class art in Midtown Harrisburg on a continually changing basis. In response to the recent devastating fire that destroyed the interior of one of two historic structures at the neighboring Broad Street Market, SAM at The Marty hosts a plein air painting activity at the Market's plaza on Friday, July 21 from 5-7:30 pm. The completed paintings will be auctioned on this site.
