Run with the Nuns VIII

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'” ― Erma Bombeck

This year's 2nd annual Run with the Nuns online auction is all about talent!

Our 200 items in this auction are vintage, new, collectible, fun, and rare.
And each piece represents a person's God-given talent and desire to share this gift to help others.

Whether a delicious homemade cake, exquisite handpainted furniture, unique birdhouse, or stunning door wreath, these wonderful handmade/homemade/artistic delights were created with a loving heart.

We are grateful to those who have shared their talents through this fundraiser to help children. Thank you.

Please be generous in your bidding.
We are keeping children healthy and safe!

About Run with the Nuns VIII for the Children

Annual event that benefits children's health programs in our community.
Our motto is: We love our children and believe our highest calling is to do right by them

We purchase medical equipment, health services and programs that keep children healthy and safe:
New video system for Gingerbread House Children's Advocacy Center ($5,000)
New hearing screening equipment for newborn babies ($22,000)
Project 5210 childhood obesity program ($10,000)
Asthma teaching doll for Caddo Parish Schools ($1,700)
Back-to-School Healthy Checkup Event provides annual health fair and school supplies to 1,500 children ($15,000)
Also, our event has helped renovate exam rooms at Cara Center for abused/neglected children; purchased play therapy equipment for Gingerbread House; donated health education materials to school-based health centers; bought special mattresses for premature babies; and donated equipment for pediatric emergency rooms, NICUs, and PICUs.

These auction items have been donated by Sisters and friends from across the country. They have graciously donated items that they have created in order to help children stay healthy and safe. Please be generous in your bidding. Not only will you be bidding on some wonderful artwork, treasures and collectibles, but your donation will help children.

The furniture in this auction has been donated by convents and other establishments. It is solid furniture made by great craftsmen. Some pieces are vintage. Artist and volunteer Laurie Jarecki from Shreveport, has hand painted wonderful designs on each piece to give it a new twist. A true collectible and a beautiful piece of art work!
