PS 230 PTA Sip Into Spring Gala Auction

Each spring, P.S. 230 in Kensington, Brooklyn, hosts its annual Sip Into Spring fundraising event. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

The proceeds from Sip Into Spring go directly toward supporting the Arts Residencies at P.S. 230. These are vital programs that enrich students’ lives through education in the visual and performing arts. Fees for these programs are intentionally set very low to allow as many children as possible to participate. We feel strongly that money should not be a barrier to education, and offer scholarships for the families whose children want to participate, yet cannot afford the fees. Thanks to the funds raised through the Sip Into Spring event, no child is turned away due to the inability to pay.

PS 230's mission is to create self-directed, freethinking learners that will grow into independent members of our local and global community.
Our unique community works together to establish a socially and emotionally secure environment. This allows children to feel confident to take risks in their learning.
Central to our belief is a shared respect of the individual needs of children. Standards-aligned curriculum is catered to individual learning styles and interests, constantly evolving based on our knowledge of students.
Professional collaboration fosters inquiry in order to grow in our understanding of the art and science of teaching.
Our goal is for students to continue their journey of learning with an appreciation and respect for diversity through the cultural exchanges experiences at PS 230.
