About Centre of Redemption Charity Concert

The Centre of Redemption focuses on prevention, advocacy, and restoration to assist human trafficking victims in recovering ownership of their lives. Every day, we help them make strides toward taking back what was stolen from them. The COR is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and is recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service.

The CORnerstone | The Centre of Redemption established a secure home in January 2013, serving young women between the ages of 18-24 who have endured commercial sexual exploitation and domestic sex trafficking. Particular focus is extended to those survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking who are pregnant or have children as a result of their exploitation using a victim-survivor-leader approach.

A Safe Place | A Safe Place, established in October 2012, is a Wilmington-based community outreach program designed to assist the victims of human trafficking that services the southeast region of North Carolina. A toll-free, anonymous hotline has been established for victimized individuals, tipsters, and general information inquiries. Victimized callers to the toll-free number are provided with emergency supplies, as well as community points of contact and resources for their successful re-entry into society. A Safe Place is committed to connecting with sexually exploited girls and women in the sex industry by conducting street outreach, placing outbound calls, and making the hotline number readily accessible in high risk locations. In addition, we partner with local hotels/motels to train staff on victim indicators and supply awareness materials for display in their facilities.
