About Play4Mike
Mike's tennis friends are trying to support Mike and his family in this difficult time.
Our friend, Mike Mashkavich (25 years old, USTA 5.0 rated player) was seriously injured by car accident on October 24, 2012. He was trapped in the wreckage of a BMW on the passenger seat. He was lucky to be alive. After two weeks in a coma, he woke up and making remarkable progress lately.
After completing surgeries on his fractured wrists, elbow, pelvis, leg, hip and
bladder, once he transfer from ICU to a rehab facility where he will begin a minimum of 6-12 months in rehab. He will need to learn how to walk and talk again, recover his memory and learn how to do things in new ways.
We would like to raise funds to support Mike's long journey of recovery anyway we can. Let's give back to a wonderful man who needs us very much.
