Freezin' for a Reason (Social Distance Edition)

Even with restrictions being lessened, we were sad to announce the postponement of our in-person Freezin' for a Reason winter fundraiser till 2022. This doesn't mean we don't have a job to do! Kinship of the Perham Area along with local businesses have put together items to raise money for our local youth. Thank you for taking the time to check them out.

Kinship of Perham area is proud to play a vital role in helping area children build healthy relationships with caring adults in our community. We match a local child with an adult mentor according to their shared interests. Mentors are thoroughly screened and interviewed before being accepted into our program. Because we receive no government assistance, we depend on the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals to fund our efforts.

Children involved in the Kinship program develop better social skills and self-esteem, which improve their outlook on life and nurture their desire to learn. These skills stretch beyond the classroom and are carried into their adult lives. If you believe in our mission of building stronger communities through the power of mentorship but are unable to become a Kinship mentor yourself, you can still partner with us!
