PATH & Family Voices of CT Silent Auction

The money raised will help support our Listener Program. PATH/FVCT Listener program matches parents whose children have a developmental delay, disability and/or special needs or are currently experiencing a medical concern (prematurely, surgical procedures, diseases, behavioral issues or genetic disorders) with “veteran” parents (Listeners) who have been through similar experiences. Parents who have experienced high-risk pregnancies are also available to talk with high-risk expectant parents and parents who have faced the unfathomable sadness of losing a child are also part of our network. The “veteran” parent (Listener) provides emotional support as well as resources and helpful information by phone to referred parents. PATH/FVCT provides a training for these families who are ready to give back and assist families that are in need of support. This fundraiser will assist PATH/FV in providing these trainings to families throughout the state.

NHHS PTA provides support and assistance to the North Haven High School Community. Our mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by
engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Our goal is provide support to the students of the High School in as many ways as possible. Such as;

1) Senior to Senior Breakfast- North Haven Senior Citizens are invited to attend a Breakfast with the High School Seniors and enjoy the morning with Raffles, music by the NHHS Choral and Band Departments.
2) Project Graduation- This program, which provides the Senior Class with an all-night drug/alcohol free celebration on graduation night at Lake Quassy. Later that evening the graduates return to the school to enjoy a Breakfast that is awaiting them along with fun interactions.
3) PTA Scholarship Fund- Each year, North Haven High School seniors have the opportunity to apply for scholarship awards to support them in their post-high-school endeavors. A single application makes students eligible for consideration in dozens of different scholarships, supported through community donations and private organizations.

These are just a few things that the NHHS PTA supports and with your support we will be able to provide so much more to our students.
