About Our Auction

Hello! We are trying to raise money for a friend, William Ocker. William (age 7) recently braved a three week hospital stay with pneumonia, 2 1/2 of which were spent in the ICU. He has an adorable smile, sweet personality, a wonderful family, and a neuro-muscular disorder. He is also legally blind, and deaf (he hears through cochlear implants).

Because of his condition, he is very weak, and is not able to cough in order to break up mucus in his lungs, making him very prone to pneumonia. A collapsed lung during his latest stay in the ICU made it the hardest fight he has had yet.

William is recovering now, and his family is facing the next big problem: mounting medical bills that threaten to overwhelm them. This was not his first hospital stay with large medical bills, and, absent a miracle, it won't be his last.

The entire Ocker family is a very giving family. Outside of working 50+ hours a week, Mr. Ocker sacrifices his time and energy in service to our church body as a deacon and he helps his family operate the Right Path Riding Academy. The Right Path is an equine therapy facility assisting children with various physical and mental disabilities.

They have given much; we would greatly appreciate your help in our attempt to give back to them. Thank you!
