Fighting Human Trafficking in the Bay Area

Get ready for Kol Emeth's Purim 2015 Silent Auction! In holding this auction, our goal is to raise funds to fight human trafficking. The money will allow Love Never Fails, a local, non-profit organization, to expand their Abuse Prevention and Human Trafficking Awareness Program into more local public schools. By bidding on items, you are helping to keep more kids in our community from becoming victims of sex trafficking.

In total, there are 120 wonderful auction items and experiences on which to bid - something for everyone! To start perusing, click on a category in the left-hand column of this page. Please note that the "fair market value" listed for each item is an estimate only.

Online bidding will end on Tuesday, March 3rd, at 5:00pm. Bidding will resume in the Kol Emeth Social Hall during the Erev Purim Party on March 4th, directly after the Megillah Reading (around 8:45pm).

Auction items will be set up on tables. Bidding at each table will close at a specific time, followed promptly by an announcement about the highest bidder for each item on the table. Make sure you notice what time the bidding closes at each table so that you don't miss your chance to bid!

In addition to donating items to the auction, many individuals have volunteered to teach classes, provide tutoring, cook meals, and share their time, expertise, and hospitality in other ways. These donations are designed to provide meaningful experiences for members of the Kol Emeth community, and we thank congregants for giving of themselves in this way.

Some of these "experiences" are part of the auction, and will go to the highest bidder. Others are available via purchase of a ticket for a flat fee. For instance, we invite people to purchase tickets for themselves, family members, and friends for any or all of the following 11 parties. No bidding is needed! Just click to buy your ticket(s) to the party. Tickets are limited, so be sure to get yours while they last!
