¡Globalquerque! 2014

We are hosting a Silent Benefit Auction to help raise funds for the festival, and ensure that ¡Globalquerque! can continue to provide a rich cultural experience to our community. We have faced some dramatic funding reductions in the past couple of years, and finding new sources of revenue will be critical for us to keep offering the same level of programming in 2014. New Mexico's Annual Celebration of World Music and Culture brings artists from around the globe to New Mexico to perform on three stages alongside some of the best regional talent (notably Native American and Hispanic). The evening consists of 2 nights of performances - 10 acts a night on 3 stages! There is also a free Global Fiesta with interactive programs - workshops, hands-on crafts, international dance lessons, films and more. The festival kicks off with a free mini-Globalquerque that is attended by around 1500 school kids.

This auction is starting with online bidding and will continue as a live event during ¡Globalquerque! Festival at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on the weekend of September 19th and 20th. The live event will start on Friday the 19th at 4:00 PM MDT and will end on the second and last night of the festival (Saturday September 20th) at 9:00 PM MDT.
