Giertz Gallery Silent Auction Benefit

Thank you for visiting our silent auction of original works of art. Pieces have been donated by Parkland College Art & Design Students, faculty, and staff to benefit programming at the Giertz Gallery at Parkland College. A special artwork in this year's auction includes an original Frog sculpture by Art & Design Professor Chris Berti. Other items include ceramic bowls, pitchers, vases, cups, scarves and more!

Anyone may view the items, but in order to bid you will need to create an account and request access to place bids. The online portion of the auction will transition at 2pm to an in-person silent auction. The in-person silent auction will close at 6:15 pm during the Coffee & Tea: Cups & Dessert benefit for Giertz Gallery on Thursday, December 9.

Proxy bidding: Allow 32auctions to bid for you. Just enter the maximum amount you wish to pay for this item. As other people bid on this item, 32auctions will bid for you up to your maximum amount. Your maximum bid amount will remain confidential unless you are outbid. Once the online portion of bidding closes, volunteers will continue proxy bidding for you until the auction closes or your amount is outbid.

Highest bidder will be notified after the close of the auction. An email will be sent that includes a link to submit payment.

Artworks can be picked up during normal business hours of the Giertz Gallery or by prior arrangement with the Gallery Director. Auction items may be shipped if highest bidder is unavailable to pick up the artwork. Shipping to the US only.

Giertz Gallery at Parkland College serves our community by developing high-quality art exhibitions and related programming. In addition, we accomplish our educational goals through class and community tours, providing career-building opportunities for students, promoting specific programs of study, and fostering lifelong learning experiences for our community.

Annual Exhibitions include curriculum-based Art and Design Student Juried Exhibitions and the Art and Design Faculty Exhibitions. In addition, the Giertz Gallery also hosts other temporary exhibits, visiting artist lecture series, and artist workshops. We provide a platform for art to inspire, motivate, and educate today's students across disciplines and our community by providing this access point.

The online auction continues as a live silent auction during our Coffee & Tea: Cups & Dessert Benefit for the Giertz Gallery.

Join Giertz Gallery December 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. for the Coffee and Tea: Cups and Dessert benefit! Ticketholders may select from handmade ceramic cups donated by Parkland College Ceramics program faculty and students; enjoy desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, hot tea, and coffee; and hear live classical guitar.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door; attendees will have the option of attending from 4 to 5:30 p.m. or 5:30 to 7 p.m. Learn more at parkland.edu/2021cupsbenefit.
