About Our Auction

The Deacons of Elkton Presbyterian Church normally run a Tricky Tray fundraiser on church property. Due to the 2020 pandemic, we have had to “rethink” our fundraiser for this year, and have decided to convert it into an Online Silent Auction. Hosting the fundraiser online will of course allow us to protect ourselves and our church members against the virus.

Our Silent Auction will be available online for bidding from November 1st through November 29.

Starting Time will be Nov 1st at 5am and NOW ENDING November 29 @ 9:00pm
Our Silent Auction will raise funds to help the homeless and needy throughout Cecil County, MD – but mainly in Elkton, MD. The area has increased over the years with homelessness, and our fundraiser allows us to help those who need assistance with food, medical needs, paying bills and more. Over the years, we have assisted over 13,000 individuals/families, and we hope to continue this mission for many years to come!

We will also be collecting monetary donations through our Silent Auction to help raise money to fill our Food Pantry. We were struck quite hard with our Food Pantry with requests for food before the pandemic, and recently those numbers have greatly increased. This has become very taxing on our Food Pantry, and we want to have it stocked as much as possible. Our goal – simply put – is to assist as many as we possibly can.

Please feel free to bid as often as you want and please remember that all funds raised go to the Deacons needy family Fund and our Food Pantry, also overseen by the Deacons.

Pickup:
In-person pickup will take place at 209 E Main St in Elkton, MD. Please see below for pickup times and dates and be sure to pick which day(s) you would like to pick up so we can prepare your item(s).

About Elkton Presbyterian Church Deacons

Our Deacons Board consists of 12 members who serve three-year staggered terms. They meet monthly. The Deacons operate the outreach and food pantry programs, coordinate member visitation and support several church-involved missions such as, the heart-warming tree (hats and glove donations), pregnancy center donations, school supply donations, Christmas Wish Tree, and Thanksgiving baskets. They coordinate the church flower chart for alter flowers. They also host many fundraisers and fellowships throughout the year to help with the funding of activities.

About Our Auction

Due to state pandemic regulations, our 15th annual EPC Tricky Tray event was converted this year. We are so appreciative of all the businesses, individuals and families that donated, and we want to ensure we put those donations to good use to help Elkton Presbyterian Church's Deacons' Needy Family Fund, as well as, The Food Pantry.

To do so, this year we are running an online Silent Auction featuring donations that are normally collected for the Tricky Tray. Since large group gatherings will not be allowed in the near future, an online Silent Auction was deemed the best way to ensure we don’t miss out on this fundraising opportunity for our church and community.

All winning Bids are final, and non refundable if not picked up, per times below. We try to be flexible .

THE NITTY GRITTY:
Bidding will begin Nov 1, 2020 at 5am and end Nov 29, 2020 at 9pm.

Each prize will go to the highest bidder on each item before the auction closes. There is no cost to bid. ALL BIDS AND DONATIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Some prizes are gently used, but in good/excellent condition.

Buy it now will be used in limited situations

Anyone 18 years old and older can bid on prizes in this auction. A valid photo ID showing legal age will be required at prize pickup if you should win.

Several baskets and prizes contain gift certificates. Please be mindful, that sue to the pandemic with gift cards and gift certificates that business hours may have changed.

SHIPPING:

Shipping; Unless otherwise noted, you will have the choice of picking up your winning item(s) at the church, or you may choose to have it shipped. If you would like your item to be shipped, you will have to pay the shipping fees.

Shipping Fees are pre-set, and YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVOICE BASED ON THE ADJUSTED SHIPPING FEES ACCORDING TO ZIP CODES/SHIPPING ADDRESS.

If You live in Cecil County, Maryland, be sure to select shipping within Cecil County.

You can save shipping costs by picking up at Elkton Presbyterian Church.

GIFT CARDS ARE EXEMPT FROM SHIPPING FEES (unless paired with items) - If you would like your gift card shipped, it will be shipped on behalf of the Deacons.

Shipping fees will be calculated on the estimated weight of the item.

Some items will be “Local Pickup Only” due to the nature of the item. Those items will be clearly noted in the auction as well.

IF YOU WIN:
If you win, you will receive an email confirmation alerting you that you have won and need to pay for your prize. You may pay via credit card/debit cards online through 32 Auctions, or you may pay via check with appropriate ID or cash. All cash will be checked for counterfeit.

Pickup times will be posted shortly and be on invoiceve chosen to have your items shipped, please allow ample time for shipping, up to 2 weeks.

Local pick-up – You will be notified of multiple dates and times to pick up your items. You may also contact our church office to schedule a time to come in and pick up your items during church office hours only. ID will be required to pick up your items.

PAYMENT- Payment can be made easily on this site using your debit or credit card.

If you opt to pay cash or check payment that can be made when picking up. But please let us know in advance so we can mark the invoice.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR BEFORE ITEMS ARE SHIPPED.
Also Please Note that we are a 501c3 charity and all donations are a tax deductible donation.
