About Our Auction

Our Auction will begin on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

The DHA Virtual Silent Auction is part of our "12 Days of DHA" fundraising holiday event. DHA's mission of "making friends for life" is fulfilled by connecting people with animals in need and by building strong relationships to better serve our community.

COVID-19 has presented many obstacles for DHA over this past year; however, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to caring for animals in need, as well as the people in our community who rely on services such as affordable vaccination clinics, free pet food pantries, spay/neuter surgery, and compassionate customer care. The silent auction will raise funds to help feed, shelter, and give medical care to all of the DHA animals until they find their forever homes.

Should an auction item become unredeemable due to COVID-19 (e.g. a business is now closed or has not re-opened prior to the expiration date), DHA will turn your bid into a fully tax-deductible donation.

About Delaware Humane Association

Founded in 1957, Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal care and adoption center, serving a four state area. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless and owned dogs and cats in our community.

Each year, hundreds of animals come to DHA in search of a warm bed, good meal, and most importantly, a new home. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that each animal receives the best care possible during his/her stay at our adoption shelter. We’re committed to preparing all adoptable dogs and cats for a new home by keeping them well-groomed, giving them daily exercise and affection, and providing obedience training and any necessary medical care.

DHA serves the community by offering affordable spay/neuter services, low cost vaccination clinics, and a pet food pantry.

We receive no government funding, and rely on the support of the community in the form of volunteers, private donations, bequests, grants, fundraising events and our Helping Hands Club to complete our mission.
