About Our Auction

This year our major beneficiary will be the Girl Scouts of Northern California. They will use the funds to remodel the kitchen of the Hidden Falls Girl Scout Camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The project will allow them to welcome campers displaced from other sites damaged in last year’s devastating wildfires. The kitchen is currently not up to code and needs significant work to host potential resident camps in the future. This project will prepare the kitchen to be ready for a primitive camping program this summer by replacing the refrigeration units and purchasing appropriate cookware for outdoor cooking.

Tucked away among the giant California redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Camp Hidden Falls offers 90 acres of outdoor space where Girl Scouts can connect with nature, seek out challenges and adventures, engage in learn-by-doing activities, and build friendships and traditions.

About The Rotary Club of Cupertino

Chartered in 1955, the Rotary Club of Cupertino represents a broad cross section of local residents, businesses, and professions. Members of the club are involved in a wide array of leadership and volunteer activities. Together, we make a difference in both our local community and in communities around the world.

Locally, through our Community Service, Youth Service, and Vocational Service Committees, our club members have accomplished more than sixty projects, and yearly, volunteer over 12,000 hours of service. Internationally, our club has championed humanitarian projects in China, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Romania, and Taiwan.

Funding for our charitable activities comes from the Cupertino Rotary Endowment Foundation and four successful fundraisers. The Silicon Valley Fall Festival, the Crab Feed, and the Cupertino Rotary Annual Golf Classic raise funds for a multitude of local community service projects. Global Elegance raises funds for our international projects.

The club meets each Wednesday at noon at the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino for fellowship, lunch, and interesting and informative programs dealing with topics of local and global importance. (We are currently meeting by Zoom.)
