“BEST CHARITY EVENT” IN CITY PAPER’S BEST OF DC 2021, 2020, & 2019 POLL: The City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue online auction showcases artists, restaurants, theaters, and small businesses from across the DC metropolitan area and beyond. From local dining to wine tastings to sporting events and more, we hope you find new products and experiences you love while helping to rescue and care for dogs and cats from overcrowded, under-resourced, kill shelters.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that rescues dogs and cats from overcrowded and high-kill shelters and adopts them out in the DC metro area. Since its establishment in 2011, City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue has saved more than 9,000 dogs and cats! We have gained a strong community of volunteers along the way.

In Washington City Paper's Readers' Poll for the last seven years (2015-2021), City Dogs & City Kitties was voted Best Non-Profit. Our annual online auction was voted "Best Charity Event." The Catalogue for Philanthropy recognizes City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue as one of the top charities in greater Washington based on its impact, financial viability, and transparency.
