About Our Auction

We are thrilled to report that in the last year, CCA's student body has nearly doubled. Join us in supporting our students and helping them succeed by participating in our most beneficial fundraising event - our auction and trivia night. Funds raised will be used for class room supplies and building improvements needed to accommodate the sudden increase in our student body.

About Community Christian Academy (CCA)

We are a growing school located in Jefferson County with students in preschool through twelfth grade. The mission of CCA is to serve as an extension of the Christian home in training young people in a Christian environment for time and eternity. Our staff works closely with parents to train the whole child - spiritually, socially, physically, and academically. We strive to impact each student's life by the power of God's Word, providing positive reinforcement, allowing students to personalize their curriculum, and engaging students in extra curricular activities.

Live Event Information

Mark your calendar for the live trivia event held at First Baptist Church of Arnold on November 21, 2014 at 7 pm. Tickets for the event are $15/person or $100/table of 8 players. The evening will also include an ugly sweater contest. Additional points will be awarded to trivia players participating in the contest. So reach back into the far recesses of your closet because this is one night when wearing your worst woolly may actually payoff. To reserve your trivia spot, contact Steve Womack (Principal) by calling (636) 464-2878.

ABOUT THE AUCTION...

The online portion of the auction will open on November 1, 2014 and will close on November 21, 2014 at 3 pm (a few hours prior to the live trivia event). Just before online bidding closes, leading bidders will receive an email informing them they will need to continue bidding at the live trivia night OR if the participant is unable to attend the event he/she can enter a secret proxy bid (the maximum amount they are willing to pay for an item) into the auction site. The amount of secret proxy bids are NOT disclosed to competing bidders during the live trivia event.

Bids received during the trivia event will be entered into the system. When bidding for the item closes, the system will check to see if any proxy bids exist. If a proxy bid exists for the item and is greater in value than the last bid received during the live event then the system will enter a final bid on behalf of the absent, online participant. The amount of the final bid will be raised to the value needed to win the item (which may be less than or equivalent to the total amount of the secret proxy bid).

For example, Mr. Brown bids on a set of concert tickets. Each time he wants to increase his bid, he has to raise the value by a minimum of $3. At the time online bidding closes, he’s in the lead with a bid of $33. He can’t attend the trivia night, so Mr. Brown enters a secret proxy bid of $69. Bidding continues at the live trivia event and at closing, the last bid received was $57. Because Mr. Brown’s secret proxy bid was higher, the system automatically increases the final bid to $60 (the amount needed to win the item).

NOTES & DISCLOSURES:

* Before bidding, you will need to create an account with 32auctions so the site can track your bids and send emails to notify you when you are in the lead or have been outbid.

* Some auction items displayed on ads may not be listed online because they are 'exclusive'. Bids for exclusive items will only be accepted during the live event by individuals attending the trivia night.
