About Our Auction

This year, Attendance Records worked with 40 high school freshman at Anderson High School who are first generation college students. During the spring semester of our program, we collaborated with 10 local artists on an exciting art project that brought together old and new. Our end goal was to modernize classic album covers in small groups.

Students began by researching the artistic and cultural significance of their classic album cover and created a presentation on their findings. They then compared and contrasted their classic albums with modern album covers and met with local artists to present their artistic vision for a modern day interpretation of their classic album cover. These 10 re-imagined covers with their classic counterparts are on display for your viewing and bidding pleasure.

All proceeds and donations from our auction will support our expansion program so that more students are provided with a true and meaningful arts education.

About Attendance Records

Attendance Records is dedicated to bringing creativity back into schools by connecting teachers and students with local writers, artists and musicians. By providing students with the opportunity to design, write and produce their own album, students will build confidence skills that will result in discovering what makes them unique.

This in-school program acts as the middleman between our students and the creative possibilities and career paths that are already put into practice in their own community.
