All proceeds received through this auction go to fund therapeutic art for youth being detained in the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center. When you purchase a piece of art, you will also receive a complimentary set of 5 blank, greeting cards that were created from the children's artwork! If you sponsor a Mandala Tile for the mural which will be displayed at the Medina County Juvenile Court, you will not only have your name engraved on a plaque but you will also receive a set of all 10 ten different greeting cards. The Medina County Juvenile Detention Center is a 30-bed, maximum security facility whose mission is to inspire troubled youth to become responsible, productive citizens as they grow into adulthood. It is the philosophy of the Medina County Juvenile Court that detention is to be used as a last resort, and principally for youth who have committed serious offenses and are a risk of harm to themselves and/or the community. It is our philosophy that we do all we can to make a positive impact on our youth in hopes of changing their lives for the better... permanently. It is our pleasure to serve Medina County.
