About Our Auction

Throughout the pandemic Local Artists Generously Donated their pieces to help the gallery. Please join us for a Gala evening starting First Friday March 3, 2023 of Art, Live Music & Refreshments, and Place your Bids! Your support helps our artists, helps us waive fees to new artists submitting, helps our First Fridays Programming, and in addition helps us recover from losses from the pandemic in which we didn’t receive any of the funding we applied for. Further, the damage to our property during the 2020 protests deferred repairs which now cost twice as much and insurance doesn't pay for still needed safety improvements. To add insult to injury, the City of Richmond raised our real estate taxes due 2021 & now by 15%. That’s right, during the height of the pandemic when downtown was like a ghost town and everything was boarded up, our taxes were raised significantly.
Bidding ends March 18, 2023. Every Bid helps and we are very Grateful to Everyone for your Heartfelt Contributions!

About anne’s Visual Art Studio gallery

For 26+ years anne’s Visual Art Studio gallery has been dedicated to revitalizing our neighborhood through art and promoting local artists. During renovations to our property owner/artist Anne Hart Chay helped to create, launch & administer our First Fridays Art Walk which began what was called a Renaissance in Historic Downtown RVA. She also served on the Arts District Task Force which created our Arts and Cultural District designation. Then we had a pandemic. Throughout Local Artists Generously Donated their pieces to help the gallery. Please join us for a Gala evening of Art, Live Music & Refreshments, and Place your Bids!
