DEFEAT AUTISM WITH ART! Purchase beautiful original artwork and give to autism charity at the same time! This auction is an extension of Alex's 5K, dedicated to raising money and awareness for autism research and services. 100% of our net proceeds go to our charities: Autism Speaks and Organization for Autism Research (OAR) - two organizations that support research into the causes and treatment of autism - and Avondale House, a local school and non-profit organization dedicated to the care of children with autism.
About Alex's 5K Run/Walk
RUN TO DEFEAT AUTISM! Alex's 5K was started by the Bayou City Road Runners (BCRR) of Houston, TX to raise money and awareness for autism research and services. The annual race is in memory of Alex Jamrich, who had autism and died unexpectedly at 17. 100% of our net proceeds go to our charities: Autism Speaks and Organization for Autism Research (OAR) - two organizations that support research into the causes and treatment of autism - and Avondale House, a local school and non-profit organization dedicated to the care of children with autism.
