About Our Auction
Over 5000 trees and shrubs consisting of 120 species are available for sale to raise money for United Way of Posey County. All trees are compatible with the area. A majority of trees are native species, but does include some non-native, non-invasive species.

Trees range 1 foot to 6 feet in height, and are grown in Southern Indiana soil using a patented method that promotes the growth of a well-developed root structure, with no girdling or tangled roots, common with trees grown in tradition containers. Trees are provided in a 20 or 24 inch tall, 6 or 8 inch diameter container that has no bottom, weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. The trees are easy to plant in a 12-inch diameter hole of the proper depth.
These trees will not generally require staking but taller ones may. Trees, when planted and then properly cared for, will overtake a larger more expensive tree planted at the same time within 3 to 4 years.
