4th Annual Support Local Online Auction

The Morton 201 Foundation, in partnership with the Berwyn Development Corporation and the Town of Cicero, is hosting its 4th Annual Support Local Online Auction from November 26 to December 2 to benefit its Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund.

Since 2019, the Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund has awarded 43 scholarships totaling $72,000. We want to keep that momentum going but we need your help to reach our fundraising goal of $26,000.

Anyone is able to view the auction items but you must register on the site in order to place a bid. Check, credit, debit or PayPal accepted. You may also make a donation on the auction site by clicking on the green DONATE button at the top of the screen or directly through our website to minimize transaction fees (preferred) at www.morton201.org/givenow.

Gift cards and gift certificates will be mailed. All other items will need to be picked up from the District Office. Shipping is not available. Please see auction listing for specific details.

Founded in 2011, the Morton 201 Foundation is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to provide inspiration and enrichment to the students of J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 through opportunities and resources supportive of their educational experiences.

The J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 serves over 8,500 students and is comprised of 5 schools: Morton East, Morton West, The Freshmen Center, The Alternative School and the Freshmen Academy.

We believe in the pursuit of higher education. In 2018 we established the Pay It Forward Scholarship Fund and awarded our first four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who attend an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school.

The award is based on outstanding academic performance, contributions to the school, extracurricular activities (or work experience) financial need, community service, and overall citizenship.

In 2020, we awarded ten $1,000 in scholarships. Due to several successful fundraisers as well as the generous and continued support of our donors and corporate sponsors, scholarships were increased to $2,000 in 2021.

To date, we have awarded 43 scholarships totaling $72,000. We want to keep that momentum going but we need your help.
