About Our Auction
First we would like to welcome so many of you back to our online auction! We have dogs and cats to save-and this is how we do it, while also trying our best to keep our adoption costs as low as possible. Our featured picture shows our latest arrivals! These puppies were born on October 19, so they will be ready for their forever homes right before Christmas! There are 8 of them-feel free to send an email about them. If you are not ready to adopt, but want to help, we also have some dogs that need fosters who are living at a kennel-it was the only way to save them from euthanasia at the shelters. They are sadly called our "kennel kids" because we have no fosters for them. Are you a potential foster or adopter? Take a look at Eggnog, Dolly, Edward, and Heloise on our website. They would LOVE to hang out at your house! Please contact us to help out these deserving dogs! Send an email to rorrcanine@gmail.com for more information or to ask questions about the puppies or the kennel kids!
About Reach Out Rescue & Resources Inc.
Reach Out Rescue & Resources is a small group of rescuers with a large amount of passion for dogs and cats!!!
Our Mission: To promote animal welfare though public awareness, to act as a rescue screening and placement service for animals needing foster and adoptive homes from high-kill shelters and to act as a resource for other rescues, shelters and prospective adopters.
- Founded August 2010
- RORR is a 501(c)3 organization.
- RORR is a 100% volunteer organization.
- RORR focuses on the dogs who are the last to be adopted and saved from shelters: black dogs, hounds and seniors.
- Almost 20% of the dogs placed in adoptive homes by RORR are over 7 years old (seniors).
- Since its beginning, RORR has place over 2,800 dogs and cats in their forever homes.
In shelters we know that the last to be adopted or saved are the black dogs, senior dogs and hounds. We are dedicating this Rescue to trying to help this group of dogs as well as abandoned cats and kittens. This year we have also been inundated with pregnant moms and dogs who are heartworm positive.
We are dedicated to those rural area shelters with great dogs and cats who have no homes. Our efforts are to help those shelters find safety for their animals and adopters to find a perfect fit. We are careful to temperament test every dog and make sure they are both people and dog friendly.
We are here to provide the resources necessary to find a great family companion, connecting adopters to certified trainers to ensure a happy life in each home, and be a resource center for any and all needs adopters may have during the lifetime of your adopted dog or cat.
CAN YOU HELP? We desperately need fosters-ones who can take a dog for the whole time, ones who can do a week while a foster is on vacation, and weekend warriors, fosters who are willing to take a dog over a weekend to give them time away from a kennel environment. We also need volunteers to do home visits and transport animals-by car or by airplane! Finally, we are always looking for help with fund raising. Rescuing dogs and cats IS expensive, and every penny coming in goes to our animals since we are 100% volunteer based-so in advance, thank you for spending your money at this auction!
