The story of Make-A-Wish and Rooney Feeds Ltd.
Years ago, Rooney Feeds Ltd., started an annual poker run on horses to thank our customers for their business through out the year. We charged a fee for this to pay expenses, and soon discovered that the riders and sponsors were generating extra money. We decided to donate the extra to charities.
A few years in, by chance, we were introduced to Make-A-Wish. This organization captured our hearts. We have met amazing children with illnesses and their families. Strong friendships have been made with many of them.
Make-A-Wish, and the children we have raised money for, has not only become our mission, but the mission of our customers. Each year, we are asked, “Do we have a child yet, what is their wish?”
It takes $10,000.00 to grant a wish. No easy feat.
My motto is, “It takes a village”, the Rooney Feeds Ltd., village is the best.
