About Our Auction

The Purple Light Project strives to bring attention and support to our emergency psychiatric patients in Hartford Healthcare's Behavioral Health Emergency Departments. Purple signifies the “purple pod” which is the psychiatric section of the ER at Hartford, where PLP began. The light represents our light always being on for those suffering from mental health crisis. Basic needs of our vulnerable patients include warm winter clothing, food, hygiene supplies, blankets, taxi/bus vouchers, etc. One hundred percent of the funds raised go to patients.
