Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs 2nd Annual Auction

On behalf of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, I would like to present you with an opportunity to give back to your community by supporting the 2nd Annual Okanagan Boys & Girls Club Online Auction taking place November 24-30, 2014.

This year’s proceeds will go to the Jaycees Downtown Youth Centre. The Youth Centre provides youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness a safe place to meet their basic needs. The Youth Centre is a necessary first step in the transition from homelessness to a full independent life. The programs allow young people to focus on their abilities, develop new friendships, build self-confidence and self-esteem. We help them develop a more positive outlook and give them the tools to accomplish anything they set their mind and effort to. It is only with the generous support of our communities that this is possible.

The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs is a leading provider of programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development for over 7,000 young people and families each year throughout the Okanagan valley. Each center creates a safe, supportive environment where children and youth experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. Our programs focus on an individual’s strengths and capabilities, and all programs embrace the principles of equality and inclusion. We help young people grow healthy, happy and safely from birth to adulthood, and are a resource and support for parents throughout their family’s involvement with us.
