Judith Shakespeare Company NYC, founded in 1995, is committed to bringing Shakespeare's language to life with clarity and vitality, while expanding the presence of women in classical theatre.

JSC brings Shakespeare to young people in the NYC schools with its ongoing arts-in-education programming.

RESURGENCE, the company's new play program, develops and produces contemporary heightened-language plays featuring significant roles for women.

This winter, JSC will present a new “Shakespeare Unplugged” production of a rarely-performed Shakespeare play.

JSC has won an OOBR Award, and has been featured on national television’s Lifetime Live.
