30th Anniversary Celebration

Join our on-line auction as part of the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory (FOPCON) 30th Anniversary Celebration: Seeding the Future. The funds we raise enable us to help the Conservatory maintain strong roots, sow seeds of diverse programs, and nurture what we plant.

A 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to promote interest in the Oak Park Conservatory, offer educational and recreational opportunities and support projects that benefit the Oak Park Conservatory.

In carrying out its mission, FOPCON offers numerous programs of interest to gardeners and nature lovers of all ages. FOPCON's activities are carried out by part-time staff and numerous dedicated volunteers who support the Conservatory by working in the greenhouses, providing operational support, conducting tours, and organizing and conducting educational programs and annual events such as the Plant Sale, KidsFest and Uncorked. Many activities are offered free or at a low cost to all, and some are offered free to FOPCON members. Visit www.fopcon.org to find out more.

When the on-line auction closes at 5 p.m. on September 9, all items (other than those purchased through Buy It Now) will be available for continued bidding at the 30th Anniversary Celebration event on September 10 (see below). If you submit a proxy bid and cannot attend the live event, a volunteer will bid on your behalf in increments up to the maximum amount you have specified; if you are the winning bidder, you will receive email notification with payment and pickup instructions after the live event.

The 30th Anniversary Celebration takes place on Saturday, September 10 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield Street in Oak Park. The event will include a silent auction containing items that are carried over after the on-line auction closes. In addition, there will be live music from The Living Room Players and the Madrigal Choir, an open bar with wine from Novo and craft beer from Kinslahger Brewing Company and bountiful hors d'oeuvres from Novo.
