About Our Auction

Eaton Elementary host a Read-a-thon and Carnival (with silent auction) annually as our only fundraiser for the school year. Unfortunately, COVID has forced us to cancel our carnival. We have decided to still host our silent auction but make it virtual this year. The auction will open on October 26th and close on November 5th. November 5th will be our school-wide Read-A-Thon day. Students will be reading independently, reading with a friend, or listening to a teacher or community member read to them. We will also have an honorary Rocket Romp walk, in memory of our former teacher, Mary Lee Wampler Hitch around the track. During this virtual action we will have
baskets, student experiences, and class artwork. All proceeds from the read-a-thon and the silent auction will go directly back to the students of Eaton Elementary. Our goal this year is $35,000 so we can purchase interactive boards for our teachers to use during their daily instruction with their students, additional classroom materials, and school-wide events.
