Dr. Tickle Memorial Sculpture Art Auction

All the money raised in this exclusive (Springfield Artists) art auction will pay for the design, fabrication and installation of a 12 foot steel caricature sculpture of Gary Waldrop aka Dr. Tickle. The sculpture will be anchored in the alley next to his former building at 216 W Commercial Street. This sculpture will honor and memorialize Gary's contributions to art, historic restoration, renovation and his visionary influence for a thriving Historic District. Gary and his family lived worked and played in their loft, art gallery and painting business from 1985 through 2004.

The Springfield Regional Arts Council is assisting the family of Gary Waldrop, aka Dr. Tickle, to raise funds to pay for a character sculpture piece in memory of Gary Waldrop and the contributions he made to the arts and historic restoration on Commercial Street and throughout Springfield.
