About Our Auction

As a part of the 4th annual Capturing the Coast Photo Contest, the Raincoast Education Society is hosting a Silent Auction of photo prints donated by prominent local photographers.

All photos are printed and on display for viewing around Tofino! You can find these photographs at the Tofitian Cafe, Tofino Brew Co, Jamie's Whaling Station, Zoe's Bakery and Cafe, Long Beach Lodge Resort, and the Wickaninnish Inn.

All photos are 16x24 printed, framed, and signed, except for "Harbour Panorama", which is 12x54 printed on canvas and frame mounted.

All funds raised will directly support the Raincoast Field School, which provides nature-based education for local youth.

About Raincoast Education Society

The Raincoast Education Society (RES) is an independent non-profit society and registered Canadian charity. The RES was established in August 2000 with a mission to help shape an environmentally sustainable future for the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region through education and community stewardship. Our aim is to enable citizens within and beyond the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region to participate knowledgeably, effectively and responsibly in the work of shaping this future for our region and for our planet.

Our main program is the Raincoast Field School, based in the local elementary school. This program connects the classroom with the rich, unique ecosystems of the Clayoquot and Barkley Sound region.
