COTA Hit for Megan's Heart Silent Auction

All funds raised by this silent auction will go to the Children's Organ Transplant Association and will be used solely to defray transplant and lifelong after care expenses associated with it. COTA does not charge any administrative fees so every dollar raised goes where it was intended. Also, all donations are fully tax deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.

14 year old Megan struggled with "stomach issues" for years with multiple doctors failing to diagnose the root cause until June 2018. Over a span of 34 days, the life saving professionals at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte NC determined that Megan suffers from the extremely rare genetic disorder "Danon Disease," treating her to the point of putting her on multiple VADs (artificial heart pumps) until a donor heart became available. Through the grace of God, Megan received a new heart after being on the national transplant list for only six days! COTA (Children's Organ Transplant Association) is a national organization that helps defray life long expenses associated with organ transplants.

The "Live" portion of the auction will be held at Black Bear Coffee Shop on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Black Bear is located at 318 N. Main St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
