Heart for the Arts Online Silent Auction

Augustana Arts is thrilled to offer the opportunity to share your passion and heart for the arts through this online silent auction. While we really wanted to see all our friends and supporters at the 2020 Heart for the Arts Gala on March 28, your health and safety as it relates to the COVI-19 Pandemic has warranted the need to cancel this fundraising event. However, expenses still need to be paid such as City String teachers, technology costs such as website, etc., payroll for the directors, and so much more! We hope you will find it in your heart to bid on some of our wonderful items to help make this a successful fundraising event!

Of course, in addition to all the wonderful products and gift certificates in the auction, we also offer an opportunity for you to make a donation in support of our numerous "paddle raise" purchases such as to sponsor a City Strings student, purchase a violin for a student, help pay for great choral music purchase, or help secure a music score for our orchestra, Wherever your heart is in the arts, we need YOU! Please join us for only 5 days this May to support Augustana Arts!

About Augustana Arts

At Augustana Arts, we believe the arts are for everyone – no matter who you are or where you come from. We provide community-based arts programs that bridge the gap between audience and artist, inviting all to enjoy and participate in whatever way feels most comfortable to you. Because when we do, we enrich and transform the lives of those in our community through the healing power and joy of the arts.

Recognizing a need in the community for exceptional, yet affordable classical music education and performance experiences, Augustana Arts began producing its annual concert series in 1997. Three resident performing groups grew from that success with Stratus Chamber Orchestra forming in 1998, Colorado Women’s Chorale (CWC) in 2003 and Colorado Men’s Chorale (CMC) in 2016, creating the perfect outlet for local talent to express themselves. This quartet of performance provides a rich landscape of music for classical music aficionados and newcomers alike.

Augustana Arts holds a unique position in the community as a multi-tiered, highly-innovative organization, directly impacting 7,000-10,000 residents in Metropolitan Denver every year. Augustana Arts is a true community arts organization, proud of its ability to present significant artists at affordable prices.

In 2002, City Strings was founded to provide some equity to low-income children. City Drums was launched this spring at a local Boys & Girls Club, connecting a more transient community of children to high-quality music education. Now, the two have been brought under the umbrella of Music Encounters. Today, Augustana Arts is the only organization providing outside of school youth music education in the Denver Metro area as broadly and deeply as Music Encounters.
