About Our Auction

We're back, bigger than ever in 2022. Aldeburgh Carnival is fortunate to be supported by a wealth of local businesses and organisations, all of whom provide us with incredible, diverse lots to suit all tastes. These may be goods, gifts, activities, experiences or much more besides. Funds raised are ploughed back into arranging Aldeburgh Carnival, which costs upwards of £45,000 per year to organise. Your generosity allows us to support other local charities and organisations every year with donations from the proceeds, so we give something back to the community.

Click on View All Items to view the lots in full.

In order to bid, you just need to set up an account, and that'll allow you to bid on multiple items without the need to register every time. If you already have an account - welcome back.

We're trying something a bit different this year. The online bidding will be open later into Carnival weekend, ending on Sunday 14th August 2022 at 2pm. The auction still transfers to a short Live Event window on Sunday afternoon at the Silent Auction site near the Moot Hall, to allow in-person bids at the end of the day. We very much encourage you to bid online here though.

Please tell the people that matter to you about our Silent Auction. The money raised goes a long way towards heading off the rising costs of Aldeburgh Carnival and supporting local charities and organisations. Without you and your participation, it wouldn't happen.

About Aldeburgh Olde Marine Regatta and Carnival

The official page for Aldeburgh Carnival - the best seaside carnival in Suffolk (we think so anyway). Our Silent Auction raises vital funds for the Carnival, which frequently costs over £45,000 a year to organise, plus donations made back to local organisations and worthwhile Aldeburgh causes. We are indebted to the many local businesses and individuals who donate amazing lots year on year.

Help support the winner of Family Tourism Event of the Year 2018, awarded by East Anglian Daily Times and Eastern Daily Press. We still need you to make it happen.

Live Event Information

We are encouraging participants to place bids via this website rather than in person this year. Our transition to a live event will start at 2pm on Sunday 14th August, should you like to review the final online bids and make another bid in person at the Silent Auction site on Moot Green. The live event window will end around 3pm, and at our discretion.

The Auction site on Moot Green will be updated with all current online bids throughout the two days.
