Aldeburgh Carnival Silent Auction 2017

Are you looking for a treat for yourself, or for someone else? You’d like a new experience, and also you want to help Aldeburgh Carnival? Look no further – welcome to our Silent Auction!

Aldeburgh Carnival is fortunate to be supported by a wealth of local businesses and organisations, all of whom provide us with incredible, diverse lots to suit all tastes. These may be goods, gifts, activities or much more besides. Funds raised are ploughed back into arranging Aldeburgh Carnival, and allows us to support other local charities and organisations every year with donations from the proceeds.

Click on View All Items to view the lots in full.

In order to bid, you just need to set up an account, and that'll allow you to bid on multiple items without the need to register every time.

About Aldeburgh Olde Marine Regatta and Carnival

The official page for Aldeburgh Carnival - the best seaside carnival in Suffolk (we think so anyway). Our Silent Auction raises vital funds for the Carnival, which frequently costs over £45,000 a year to organise, plus donations made back to local organisations and worthwhile Aldeburgh causes. We are indebted to the many local businesses and individuals who donate amazing lots year on year.

Help support the winner of Family Tourism Event of the Year 2018, awarded by East Anglian Daily Times and Eastern Daily Press. We still need you to make it happen.

Live Event Information

Bid for the deal of your choice here on the website up to 5pm on Friday 18th August 2017. The auction then transfers to the Live Event over Carnival weekend, but be aware we may receive a better offer over Carnival weekend. You can bid in person at the friendly Silent Auction site on the Moot Green near the Moot Hall on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th August 2017 with our chief auctioneer.

If you wish to make a proxy bid, this is when you place a bid for the maximum amount you are willing to spend, then let the system bid for you up to that amount. For example, if an item is currently selling for £10 and you enter a proxy bid of £20, the system will automatically bid for you until the selling price goes over £20. At that point, you will be outbid and someone else will be the leading bidder. See the help section for more information.

We will update the website as often as possible if online bids are then outbid by bids in person over Carnival. Keep an eye on the bidding and increase your offer if it has been topped – otherwise you will lose the deal! Highest bid by 3pm on Sunday 20th August 2017 either online or in person, wins.
