2019 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival

The Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival, May 17th - 19th is one of Mendocino County's most eagerly anticipated events, attracting an audience of over 650 wine and food enthusiasts each year. One of the highlights of the weekend is the silent auction held during the Grand Tasting. Revenues generated from this auction are donated to two nonprofits that provide essential services to the residents of Anderson Valley: the Anderson Valley Health Center and the Anderson Valley Housing Association.

The AV Health Center is the sole provider of health care in Anderson Valley, including medical, dental and behavioral health services, for over 2,650 patients. Our programs count on fundraising for over
5% of our annual budget.

The A V Housing Assn. provides affordable housing for low and very low income residents of the Anderson Valley, particularly for the farm workers whose vineyard labors help produce many of the wines featured at the Festival.

Over the years the silent auction has raised more than $400,000 for the community. This year, in addition to the silent auction the Anderson Valley Winegrowers Association is holding an online auction with a few special items to benefit the education, marketing, and branding efforts that are an essential support to the grape growers and producers of the region.

The Anderson Valley Winegrowers is a not-for-profit trade group created in 1983 to promote the grapes and wines of the Anderson Valley winegrowing appellation. We are supported through the dues paid by our membership, generous sponsorships, and proceeds from the festivals and events we produce each year. Along with promoting the Anderson Valley as a viticultural region, we also work to build our community.
