Formed in 2001, the Design Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of IDSA. Chartered to support design through educational opportunities, the Design Foundation also serves to further IDSA’s mission, vision and strategic directions: promoting the practice of Industrial Design through education, information, community and advocacy. The Design Foundation’s most well-known program is its Scholarship program. Each year the Design Foundation awards its Undergraduate Scholarship while IDSA awards the Gianninoto Graduate Scholarship through a separate endowment fund.

The Design Foundation is currently undertaking an initiative led by Lorraine Justice, FIDSA, Foundation President, offering stipends to students to attend IDSA's 2015 International Conference which celebrates IDSA's 50th Anniversary. Beyond 2015, through your support, we will be able to continue the effort by making this an ongoing program into future years.
