About Our Auction

The Alliance for Recreational Empowerment (A.R.E) Foundation provides recreational and educational activities for people with physical disabilities with the goal of empowering them to be active, engaged members of their communities.

Through local fundraising, A.R.E. makes it possible for children and young adults diagnosed with a variety of neuromusccular diseases to attend and enjoy a week-long summer camp in Middle Tennessee. At the fully handicapped accessible camp, the children swim, ride horses, boat, and fish in a safe, barrier-free environment. They also interact with older "seniors" who have similar diagnoses and act as their mentors throughout the week!

Your donations and sponsorships are used solely to help pay for the costs associated with camp and other supportive activities throughout the year. A dedicated group of volunteers comprise the A.R.E. board with help from many other volunteers throughout the year.
