GSHS Skateboard Art Charity Auction

This charity auction is an exciting collaboration between our Greensburg Salem High School Art Department, the SHOP GREENSBURG professional organization of businesses, and the Westmoreland Cultural Trust.

THE CAUSE:
Proceeds from the auction will support two great causes. The first is the "Giving Tree Project", a charitable cause sponsored by Greensburg Salem students and staff to purchase holiday presents for less fortunate students. The second cause is the "Greensburg Salem H.S. Art Club". Funds will be used for art field trips, supplies, and exhibition opportunities.

THE PROJECT:
Greensburg Salem High School artists created and donated original skateboard designs. They each researched and planned their skateboard's theme, then painted it with love for you to enjoy.

Disclaimer: Although the boards are painted with high-quality acrylics, paint pens, and are spray varnished, they are art objects that were intended for decorative non-fuctional use. They were not made with commercial-grade inks/paints, so they are not intended for extended exposure to the elements or the wear and tear that a skateboard encounters when used outside. Each purchase comes with a basic wall mounting kit.

The Greensburg Salem High School Art Department is committed to providing all our students with rich opportunities to study, create, exhibit, discuss, and reflect upon their artwork and the work of others.
